If you follow me on Instagram, or saw my feed (on the right) you might have seen the video above and the picture below already. I had my camera with me the entire day, but didn’t use it once. Instead, I ordered birthday beers and a Romanian feast for lunch. When we *accidentally* got four beers at one time, Andrew decided it was time to play ‘Edward Mug-hands’ and being as it was his birthday, I used my ‘mind-tape’ and obliged. The waitstaff (at least one) was thoroughly entertained by us both when we refused to let them take away the empty mugs.
“I’m sorry, I have to keep it.” I said apologetically to the waiter. “We are playing a game…” I shrugged.
“You are losing?” He laughed.
“I guess you could say so…” I responded, looking over at Andrew’s nearly finished two and my full one.
I debated what to write for this day. A post dedicated to the one I love, or something like that. I hemmed. I hawed. I typed. I erased. I thought about rhyming, and then I changed my mind. (As Andrew likes to drop a beat and make me emcee, this would only encourage him.) Finally, I asked myself, What would Mindy do? (If you don’t know Mindy… she would have answered quite simply: write a haiku!)
This trip without you,
Just the thought makes me so sad.
Even when you smell.
