Speakeasy is a cultural project that aims to provide residents of Seoul with an innovative and inclusive meeting place. Through a bi-lingual magazine and a party/events circuit, Speakeasy seeks to foster the exchange of ideas and culture between Koreans and expats by providing outlets for creative expression. A non-profit organization, it strives to encourage community involvement and a cross-cultural dialogue that will extend beyond the page and the club into people’s daily experience of the city.
Speakeasy 는 국적을 불문하고, 서울에 거주하는 모든 이들에게 혁신적인 소통의 창을 열어주는 것을 목적으로 하는 문화 프로젝트입니다. 영어와 한국어, 2개국어로 발행되는 매거진과 정기적인 파티를 통해서 Speakeasy는 창의적인 표현의 출구를 마련하고, 한국인과 외국인간의 문화적, 사상적 교류를 촉진하고자 합니다. Speakeasy는 비영리단체로서, 지역사회와의 연관성을 높이고, 양문화간의 대화가 단순 잡지 속의 활자나, 클럽의 파티를 넘어서서, 모든 이의 일상 속으로까지 확대될 수 있도록 힘쓰고자 합니다.
