Riso printed and hand cut, this small edition of Go Fish/Memory Game includes 52 2-color (red + blue) playing cards. Conceived while sequestered from my family with Covid and a stack of rapid tests, I began designing the deck once the worst of my symptoms had passed. With two young sons, I thought this would be the perfect “souvenir” (of sorts) for them to have. Gigantic socioeconomic and cultural events popping up daily that they still have yet to understand while my husband and I tried to keep them healthy and entertained at home with whatever we had on hand. I imagine that one day they will ask what it’s like, and this deck will help me remember everything from the news headlines and protests to the bread we baked and ridiculous television we watched.

Like I’ve tried to explain to my Dad (many, many times): Risograph (aka Riso) is like screen printing, except I create my files digitally before sending to the Japanese born Riso machine that he thinks is an office copier. As each color is added one layer at a time, slight registration variations can occur between prints and it’s not uncommon for roller marks, slight ghosting, and smudging to occur. Your game has been thoroughly inspected to ensure any printing variations are to my liking. Hoping you enjoy this game as much as I enjoyed making it! Thank you!
